PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM FITNESS TRAINING

When you’re pregnant you cannot continue to exercise like a non-pregnant woman because your body goes through so many changes in the cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, and gastrointestinal systems, which will affect your maternal response to exercise. 

That being said, you don't want the same routine in the first trimester as in the third.  Proper technique and choice of exercises are most important during pregnancy since you do not want to cause harm to you or your unborn child – this is where having the right certified personal trainer is critical.

As a Certified Pre/Post Natal Exercise Specialist I have advanced skills and knowledge specific to pre and post natal to create exercise programs that are safe and effective for my clients. I can help you stay healthy during your pregnancy and get back to your pre-pregnancy weight healthier and quicker.

HOME & OUTDOOR TRAINING
Your home gym equipment is good for something other than hanging clothes on.  Don’t have any equipment?  No problem, I’ll bring everything to you to give you a great workout!  Want to break up the monotony of inside training?  We can take it outside to a near by community park or even your backyard!
PARTNER TRAINING SESSIONS
Partner training is great for those who appreciate the physical and the social aspect of working out.  It’s also more fun, inspiring and affordable – so bring a friend! Sessions can accommodate 2-3 people.
TRAINING SESSIONS
All training sessions are either 30 minutes
or 60 minutes. Participants must complete a health history form and sign a waiver before participating in any exercise program.  Pregnant clients must obtain a physician’s release before participating in any exercise program.
Did you also know moms who exercise throughout their pregnancy (up until the last day) can experience the following:
  • A shorter labor – by more than 30 percent.  About 65% of exercising moms will deliver in less than four (4) hours1.
  • Have a better chance of a natural vaginal delivery; and the likelihood of needing medical interventions like forceps, drugs, and C-sections is reduced by 50 to 75 percent.1 
  • Experience a less painful labor – by as much as one-third.  The endorphins created by exercise work as natural painkillers.1
